Cold Winter weather may have taken its toll on the roads in Arlington Heights Tuesday, December 26, 2017. About 9:00 a.m. Union Pacific needed to close Vail Avenue at Northwest Highway at about 8:55 a.m. to repair a broken rail. The railroad crossing was re-opened about 1:50 p.m.
About 1:29 p.m. a water main break at Euclid Avenue and Wilke Road closed all or part of the intersection while Arlington Heights Public Works crews worked to repair the water main.
