Crash into parked car after avoiding dog on Dryden Avenue, Arlington Heights — no injuries.
Arlington Heights police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 10:08 AM Wednesday August 23, 2017 to a report of a crash with injuries at Dryden Avenue and Hawthorne Street Arlington Heights, IL.
Police and firefighter/paramedics received a report that the crash was located at Dryden Avenue and Euclid Avenue, but the crash was actually located on Dryden Avenue north of Hawthorne Street near the St Viator High School athletic fields.
A man apparently was northbound in a Chevy Equinox on Dryden Avenue when he veered out of the way of a dog in the street. He crashed into a black Audi sedan parked northbound at the curb on the east side of Dryden Avenue.
The driver initially reported minor or no injuries.
The driver of the Audi — a student at St Viator — was notified of the crash, and was brought to the scene by St Viator staff, and went back to class after a short time.
St Viator’s 2017-2018 school year began last week.
