Boats Destroyed by Explosion and Fire at Hammond Marina on Casino Center Drive, Indiana

Indiana Conservation Officers are investigating a fire that involved multiple boats at Hammond Marina, 701 Casino Center Drive. Two boats were a total loss as a result of an explosion related to the fire.

Multiple agencies including Hammond Police Department, Hammond Fire Department, United States Coast Guard, Hammond Port Authority, Hammond Marina, and Tow Boat US all assisted at the scene.

According to the Indiana Department of Natural Resources, there were no injuries initially reported, and the case remains under investigation.
