VIDEO: Chicago police SUV attempts traffic stop with multiple motorcycles on Irving Park Road (Motorcycle VS Cops Biker Run Off The Road By Cop Swerves At Bike Running From Cops POLICE CHASE 2017 … uploaded June 28 2017).

Keep this in mind when you see reckless motorcyclists or groups of motorcyclists:

When a motorcycle crashes, most times it is the motorcyclist that suffers the most injury. However, reckless motorcyclists endanger innocent motorists and passengers. Under the right conditions, motorcycles or motorcyclists can project through the interior of the vehicle they hit, instantly killing passengers or drivers of the 4-wheeled vehicle. A motorcyclist and/or the motorcycle can go in one window and exit out another window of the 4-wheeled vehicle.

In Arlington Heights/Buffalo Grove over a decade ago (on Mother’s Day), a grandmother’s vehicle was hit by a speeding motorcyclist at Dundee Road and Ridge Avenue. Her passenger (granddaughter) was killed when the motorcycle or the motorcyclist or parts from the crash entered the vehicle and hit the granddaughter.

In Arlington Heights over a decade ago at Kennicott Avenue and Lynnwood Avenue a vehicle was pulled out into the roadway accidentally in front of a speeding motorcycle that was heading southbound on Kennicott Avenue. The motorcyclist and part of the motorcycle entered the window of the rear driver’s side door and exited the rear window of the sedan.

No passengers were killed in the second crash. The motorcyclist was killed.

An undated video uploaded June 28, 2017 shows a group of motorcyclists traveling west then southwestbound on Irving Park Road (IL-19) through the Mannheim Road intersection and just west of Mannheim Road and just southeast of O’Hare International Airport. The video was removed from a Facebook page Monday afternoon, but a longer version was discovered again on the YouTube Channel BLOX STARZ TV.

The initial part of the video shows a group of motorcyclists doing wheelies (45 MPH then 55 MPH) and then a Chicago Police Department SUV with emergency lights activated in the westbound lanes after the curve of Irving Park Road. The motorcyclist with the helmet cam is seen going through a yellow light at Mannheim Road at 61-67 MPH, and at least 72 MPH after passing the intersection. Next the motorcycles are seen on a stretch of Irving Park Road that runs parallel to southwest-northeast-oriented Runway 4L/22R at O’Hare at speeds of at least 87 MPH. A one-story service garage can be seen on airport property during a part of the video when a motorcyclist tries to elude police on the grassy shoulder of Irving Park Road at speeds of 28-33 MPH. When the biker clears the grass, the biker with the helmet cam pursues the police SUV chasing the “off road” biker at speeds up to 97 MPH and later 115 MPH near the retaining walls of Irving Park Road closer to York Road. Prior to the retaining wall area — still westbound on Irving Park Road — the motorcyclist with the helmet cam approaches the intersection of Taft Avenue at 74 MPH and passes through the intersection with a green light at a max speed of 97 MPH. While traveling at 95-97 MPH through the intersection the motorcyclist with the helmet cam has a left field of vision that is blocked by a box truck, and heads straight through the intersection using a right turn only lane designated for a turn to northbound Taft Avenue.

Later the police officer speeds ahead of the bikers in an attempt to block the two lanes of westbound Irving Park Road. An SUV or minivan attempts to ignore the roadblock to the left. The Chicago Police SUV is stopped perpendicular to traffic flow with emergency lights on. One motorcyclist eludes the police passing to the right. Just after the police SUV also blocks a Nissan SUV by activating a police horn and lurching forward, the rest of the bikers (at least 10 bikers), including the biker with the helmetcam, turn 180 degrees and head back eastbound on Irving Park Road. The turnaround occurs near the stretch of Irving Park Road with retaining walls southwest of the airport, closer to York Road. The motorcyclist with the helmet cam heads eastbound in the westbound lanes of Irving Park Road at speeds up to 82 MPH. After crossing into the eastbound lanes and bumping over the median at 40 MPH, the motorcyclist reaches 129 MPH with apparently no police following.
