Rollover Van Crash Kills Pedestrian at New Sutton Rd and Penny Rd, South Barrington

South Barrington police and Barrington Countryside FPD firefighter/paramedics responded about 1:13 AM Tuesday July 4, 2017 to a report of a rollover crash with injuries at New Sutton Rd and Penny Road, South Barrington,Il. Police and firefighter/paramedics discovered a pedestrian in cardiac arrest at the side of the road.

The first crew on arrival reported one vehicle off the roadway and rolled over with a person inside, conscious and trapped in the vehicle.

Also, a pedestrian was in cardiac arrest at the scene. Paramedics reported they were treating one patient at the side of the road. They had a total of three patients with one patient possibly a medical refusal.

A second accident was also reported near the scene, and might have involved a suspected DUI driver.

The patient in the van was extricated by 1:38 a.m.

Barrington Ambulance 361 was returned at 1:45 a.m.

Cary, Fox River Grove, Palatine Rural, and Lake Zurich firefighter/paramedics assisted Barrington Countryside firefighter/paramedic, either at th crasschen dsdkksk
