Frontier Days Forecast: 10-40% Chance of Thunderstorms, 90% Chance of Jesse’s Girl by Rick Springfield

O’HARE: 90°F LAKEFRONT: 88°F Sunday 7/2/2017 4:02 PM

TODAY: A 10 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 5pm. Mostly sunny, with a high near 88. Northwest wind around 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.

TONIGHT: A 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly before midnight. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 67. North northeast wind 5 to 10 mph becoming west in the evening. Winds could gust as high as 15 mph.

Convection and rising thunderstorm clouds continue to develop on/near an outflow boundary across far southeast Wisconsin and over the waters of south/central Lake Michigan.

This outflow boundary/front will continue sagging south — first
along the Lake Michigan shore line and then possibly further inland. Two cells developed about 4:15 p.m. — one over Lake Forest and North Chicago, and one over Highland Park and Glencoe.

Northwest wind are expected to shift from the northeast late this afternoon with a slight temperature drop along the shore and somewhat inland as the outflow boundary continues south … additional isolated or scattered thunderstorm development is possible.
