Man Shot on Inbound Kennedy Expressway Near Addison Entrance Ramp, Chicago

Illinois State Police were investigating an overnight shooting on the Kennedy Expressway. CBS 2’s Sandra Torres reports.

Illinois State police and Chicago police responded to a report that a man was shot while driving on the inbound Kennedy Expressway late Wednesday night.

The driver called 9-1-1 about 11 p.m. to reporting he was shot and that his vehicle was hit while on the Addison entrance ramp.

The wounded man, who was struck in the torso, drove himself to the hospital.

Part of the Kennedy Expressway was closed for more than an hour while police searched for shell casings. Police reported they did not find any shell casings.
