Report of a light pole fire between Weidner and Buffalo Grove High School on the north side of Dundee Road.
Second caller reports the top of the pole is on fire and that the pole is split in half after apossible lightning strike.
Tower Ladder 25’s crew on arrival reports the pole is split with a fire
The sidewalk has been blocked because of a safety hazard, especially for students walking to Buffalo Grove High School.
ComEd reported at 7:15 a.m. that only 5 customers were without power.

A few blocks east on Old Buffalo Grove Road south of Dundee Road, about 745 customers were without power after a transformer blew. Electrical wires and equipment and were possibly struck at that location.
