Police: Lewis University College Professor Shot to Death in Naperville Was Targeted

Matthew Lange was found fatally shot in a car outside a middle school. CBS 2’s Suzanne Le Mignot reports.

Lewis University Professor Dr. Matthew Lange, age 37, was in his car when someone fired shots through his car door window as he waited for to pick up his 4 ½-year-old son from a program from an after school program at Scullen Middle School, at 2815 Mistflower Lane in Naperville.

Police say the homicide did not involved a robbery.

Lange was an assistant professor of psychology at Lewis University in Romeoville and had been on staff for the past four years.

A reward has been offered to help solve the murder case. A reward of up to $5,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest, according to police said. Anyone with information should call Naperville Crime Stoppers at 630-420-6006.
