Arlington Heights Police Issue 112 Traffic Citations; 14 Speeders Cited

Arlington Heights police issued 112 citations during a Christmas/New Year’s holiday traffic enforcement campaign from December 16, 2016 to January 2, 2017.

The traffic campaign included dedicated traffic patrol vehicles for a saturation of patrols to identify and stop motorists committing traffic violations. The enforcement activities resulted in 14 speeding tickets, three uninsured motorist violations, 12 registration-related violations, one cellphone violation, 61 equipment violations, and 20 miscellaneous traffic violations.

One person was discovered to be driving without a license.

The Arlington Heights Police Department is scheduling a similar campaign around the St. Patrick’s Day holiday.
