One Killed in Rollover Truck Crash with Ejection and Injuries on Tri-State 1/2-Mile South of Route 60, Lake Forest

Illinois State Police and Deerfield-Bannockburn firefighter/paramedics responded about 5:52 AM Friday to a report of a rollover truck crash with a second person injured on the Tri-State Tollway at the 20 Mile Marker. Rescuers received a report that one person was ejected from a vehicle.

An updated from a caller reported that a second person was injured.

Deerfield Fire SQD19’s crew reported a semi-trailer truck was over the median, blocking northbound and southbound lanes.

Crews reported all people were out of their vehicles.

Crews reported on person dead at the scene.

A Flight for Life medical transport helicopter was put on standby, but was cancelled.

The truck’s trailer was blocking all except one northbound lane. The truck’s tractor as blocking one southbound lane and the southbound median shoulder.
