The stars of the popular “Flip or Flop” show announced their separation, but say they are committed to co-parenting for their family.
HGTV’s Flip or Flop is a television series hosted by real estate agents Tarek and Christina El Moussa. On August 25, 2016, during the special five episode summer season, called Flip or Flop: Selling Summer, the special series premiered with the highest rating of any cable show.
“Flip or Flop” stars Tarek and Christina El Moussa portray the chipper, nearly perfect all-American couple on TV but we’ve learned they’re now separated …after a scary incident involving guns and a feared suicide attempt.
The separation of HGTV’s “Flip or Flop” hosts comes seven months after an altercation in which Christina El Moussa says her husband, Tarek, flipped out and police were called to their California home. Witnesses said Tarek fled the house wielding a semi-automatic rifle. When he surrendered, he told police he just wanted to blow off steam. It took 11 deputies and a police helicopter to restore calm to the couple’s home. Following the incident in May, the pair announced they are calling it quits.
