CNN Producer, Crew and/or Bystanders with CNN Reporter Suzanne Malveaux Appear to Joke About Trump Plane Crash

A CNN producer was heard discussing various hand signals with CNN Reporter Suzanne Malveaux before the Trump-Pence Carrier conference, at the the Thank You Indiana tour … “That means his plane’s crashed — just kidding,” the producer said.

While CNN correspondent Suzanne Malveaux was preparing for a live shot at Carrier’s Indianapolis plant on Thursday December 1, 2016, a producer allegedly was heard discussing various hand signals with her.

“That means his plane’s crashed — just kidding,” the producer is reported to have said. A male voice is heard saying, “I like that.” In the video Malveaux is rather poker-faced and smiling.

CNN apologized the following day, on Friday December 2, 2016. CNN apologized, saying, “An unfortunate and inappropriate remark was made by one of our producers off camera yesterday. We have apologized to the Trump transition team, and the producer has been disciplined.”

The female CNN producer was allegedly caught on a hot mic and off camera while making a joke about President-elect Donald Trump’s plane crashing.

Suzanne Malveaux joined CNN in 2002 and is based in Washington, D.C. as a White House correspondent.
