Black Friday is traditionally the biggest gun sales day of the year. 2015 set a single-day record for gun purchase background checks — with an NRA-endorsed President-elect, will 2016 top it?

Black Friday 2016 was calmer than in previous years thanks in part to the rise of online shopping. CBS News correspondent Don Dahler reports.

Black Friday is shifting before our eyes. As always, shoppers jammed the stores, long before the dawn, to start their holiday shopping; but mobile apps are changing the game. Don Dahler reports with a closer look at the apps.

The holiday shopping season kicked off with people rushing through store doors early Friday morning. Shoppers sprang into action at the Best Buy in Watertown, Massachusetts at 1 A.M. (Nov. 25)
