Dear Paul B,
Do you think it was a smart move for Tom Brady and Belichick to endorse Trump? What do you think, Paul B? Do you like these two guys? I’ve lost respect for them.

I am a sports fan, and I think the world of these two guys, as athletes, nothing more. I admire their commitment to excellence, and their ability to win “the big ones.” Outside of that, I don’t think I have any opinion at all. I don’t typically ask my butcher how to treat my tennis elbow, nor do I ask my mail-woman if I should roll over my IRA now or at 65?
Celebrities who ALWAYS have a microphone under their collective noses, think that the world gives a hoot who they’re voting for. Sports figures are probably fairly immune to endorsements, but are vulnerable to committing the actual sins, such as racism expression, anti-gay expression, domestic abuse. They have nothing to gain, and probably a few of their beloved fans “may” find another team to root for.
I pay no attention to people who are voting with their wallets, when they can save millions on taxes (and they have plenty to gain,) and are out of touch with the “average citizens.” I really can’t applaud their attempt to sway some votes, or condemn their attempts. Their collective voice is what makes the USA such a great nation.
— Paul B.
In the weeks leading up to the election, Robert De Niro had said if Trump became president he would “move out of the country.” Breaking Bad star Bryan Cranston threatened to leave America for its neighbor to the north should Trump become president.
Donald Trump claims New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady called him to say, ‘I voted for you.’ At a rally on the eve of the contentious election, Trump told the crowd in New Hampshire the NFL star has his back.
NESN: New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick sent a letter to President-elect Donald Trump on Monday. NESN.com’s Doug Kyed and Michaela Vernava discuss whether or not this will become a distraction inside the Patriots locker room.
