SpaceX Explosion at Cape Canaveral Pad 40 During AMOS-6 Static Fire Test


Dramatic video of the moment a SpaceX rocket exploded at a launchpad in Florida has surfaced.

The rocket vehicle and the payload, which included a satellite that Facebook was planning to use, were destroyed in the explosion. Judging the 9 or 10 seconds that passed from visual sighting of the explosion and the sound of the blast, the camera was positioned about 2 miles from Launch Pad 40.
