Car Fire Inside Car Dealership Service Center on Dundee Rd Near Kennicott Ave, Arlington Heights

Arlington Heights police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 12:18 AM Friday to a report of car fire inside Arlington Nissan’s service garage area, 1100 West Dundee Road Arlington Heights, Il. Police and firefighter/paramedics received a report of a car fire inside the Express Service Center inside the southwest corner area of Arlington Nissan.

Engine 4’s crew on arrival reported smoke showing from Side A and Side B.

Engine 4’s interior crew about 12:30 a.m. reported the fire involving a single car appeared to be extinguished, and that they were completely knocking the fire with a 2 1/2-inch line.

A sprinkler system activation contained the fire and mostly extinguished the fire.

Firefighters immediately went to work ventilating and clearing smoke from the service garage area.

No injuries were reported.

Nissan North America, Inc. issued a recall about vehicles at risk of vehicle fires on Friday September 2, 2016. Early Friday September 9, 2016 it was not known if the vehicle that caught fire at Arlington Nissan was a vehicle affected by the recall.
