A new Aldi location at the Deer Grove Crossing Shopping Center is scheduled for a grand opening for the store on Thursday, August 25, 2016.
The discount grocery chain’s 20,000-square-foot Palatine store at 761 E. Dundee Road is just west of Home Depot at Dundee Road and Rand Road and replaces the former Staples location.
Free samples and prizes are offered as part of the grand opening. Prices include a chance to win free produce for a year, and a variety of Aldi gift certificates for the first 100 customers on grand opening day.
The grand opening will occur five months after the Aldi store approval received unanimous approval from the Palatine Village Board. The Deer Grove Crossing Shopping Center will be 100 percent filled when Aldi opens.
