Fatal Motorcycle Crash on Lacy Ave Near Frederick Ave, Streamwood


Streamwood police and Streamwood, Bartlett and Hanover Park firefighter/paramedics responded about 4:50 p.m. Tuesday August 23 2016 to a fatal motorcycle crash near 500 Lacy Avenue in Streamwood. The motorcyclist was killed Tuesday after colliding with an SUV on Lacy Avenue east of Frederick Avenue.

Ryan Hail, 28, was pronounced dead at the scene at about 4:50 p.m. Tuesday, according to police.

Police said an initial investigation shows that Hail’s Harley Davidson motorcycle and a 2004 Nissan SUV were both heading eastbound on Lacy Avenue when the motorcycle hit the SUV. Hail was thrown from the motorcycle, police said.

A 42-year-old woman, who was driving the SUV with no passengers, was not seriously injured.
