Deceptive Job Scheme Offered by Telephone, Arlington Heights

Police received a report that an unknown offender or offenders contacted the victim twice via phone and purported to be a potential employer for her son. The offender advised the victim that she needed to go to the nearest Western Union to send $1000 to the offender to help her son gain employment.

The Arlington Heights resident lives in the block of 400 East Victoria Lane Arlington Heights, IL.

No monetary loss occurred during the attempted fraud.

The crime is reported to have occurred on Wednesday, August 10, 2016 between 10:10 AM and 12:53 PM. The elapsed time range including the time the crime could have occurred is 2:43 (hours: minutes).
