Mount Prospect police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 7:29 PM Thursday to a report of an Activated Fire Alarm for a trash compactor fire at Bosch Tool 1800 West Central Road Mount Prospect, Il. Police and firefighter/paramedics received a report of an Activated Fire Alarm for a fire in a trash compactor at Bosch Tools.
Crew on arrival reported a large 2-story warehouse with nothing showing by 7:33 p.m.
NWCDS 911 Dispatch reports the premise called in a fire reported in the trash compactor by 7:35 p.m.
Another call from the premise reported that the fire is at 1804 Central Road at the dock by 7:39 p.m.
Command reported water on the fire in the dumpster and firefighters are putting the fire out by 8:17 p.m.
Witness reported an acrid smell in the area at Melas Park. Wind was from the West at 10 mph at the time of the fire.
