Several people at Trump Tower were put in isolation Thursday night while officials investigated a powder sent to the Trump campaign. Don Dahler reports.
Seven people, including a NYPD police officer, were isolated Thursday after a letter containing white powder was delivered to a fifth-floor campaign office in Trump Tower and discovered about 7:30 pm.
An intern working in the mail room of the Fifth Avenue high-rise in Midtown opened the letter, noticed the powder, immediately closed it, and notified security.
The building’s security called NYPD, who responded with a HazMat unit about 7:30 p.m. Firefighters were notified about 8:05 pm.
