Firefighters Investigate Smoke in a First Floor Apartment Unit on Windsor Dr Near Rand Rd, Arlington Heights


Arlington Heights police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 12:04 AM Sunday to a report of smoke in an apartment at 1503 North Windsor Drive Arlington Heights, IL. A crew on arrival reports nothing showing; going in to investigate.

Interior crew reports a haze inside the apartment, and reports they are opening the wall to investigate a possible fire or ignition behind the wall.

A dry line was led out about 12:17 pm and a pump can was ready inside the apartment.

Outside crew reports seeing a plumber leaving the building.

Interior crew discovered a little charring inside the wall with no active fire after opening the wall.

Extra firefighters on the scene were returned by about 12:30 p.m. when firefighters determined there was no active fire on the first or second floor.
