On April 7th, 2016, two suspects in Los Angeles stole a convertible Ford Mustang and led the cops on a chase that lasted over an hour. However, the only thing more insane than the chase was the hilarious live news commentary.

FOX 10 Commentary by viewer: “This is the future of police chases under Bernie Sanders.”

A Los Angeles police chase on April 7, 2016 traveled through downtown LA, the 101 Freeway, Hollywood Boulevard, passing the Hollywood Walk of Fame, Hollywood Hills, and south LA. The entire chase was covered for at least one hour and nineteen minutes.

The driver is reported to have learned his driving skills while in the US Marines. The Pentagon confirmed Friday that H Herschel Reynolds, age 20, was a trained tactical driver for the Marines before being “prematurely discharged” in January. Reynolds had served as a motor vehicle operator for the 1st Marine Logistics Group at Camp Pendleton, where he served for nearly two years as a private, according to military records.

Both the driver and passenger have been booked on suspicion of burglary — Reynolds being held on $50,000 bond and Isaiah Young on $80,000 bond, according to jail records.

Reynolds and Young were taken into custody after they stopped and parked the blue Ford Mustang near the intersection of South Central Avenue and East 51st Street while in view of news helicopters.

CBS Sky 2: A chase that went from Cerritos to South LA ended with members of the public taking selfies with the two suspects. Jeff Vaugh, Pat Harvey and Stu Mundel report.
