On April 17, 2016, at approximately 6:50 PM, Lake County Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to the area of Fox River Road and Hickory Nut Grove Road, in Unincorporated Cary, for a single-vehicle traffic crash with injuries. Upon the arrival of deputies, they found a 49 year-old man, of Cary, was involved in a motorized mini-bike crash, with serious injuries.

According to a witness, the man took one of his hands off the handlebars and lost control of the minibike. He was ejected from the minibike and struck his head on the pavement. The driver was not wearing a helmet.
