Large Turnout for Chicago Teachers Strike in Lousy Weather

#ad▼

The Chicago Teachers Union abandoned school today and took their protest to the streets blaming Chicago Public Schools and the State of Illinois with lack of funding for labor. At about 4:40 p.m. teachers began the protest near the Thompson Center and eventually faced miserable rain as part of a one-day teachers’ strike. Inclement weather caused the crowd to dwindle to small groups by about 6:30 a.m.

Downtown Chicago is flooded with thousands of Chicago teachers skipping work as part of a one-day protest. Live coverage ——> http://nbcchi.com/ss7RQ9M
