A television reporter was doing a live update on a Minnesota bank robbery that occurred the day before when police say the suspect returned to rob the bank a second time.

On the entire news video reviewed by police, bank robber suspect Ryan Liskow, age 36, was seen entering and leaving the Rochester Sterling State Bank on Tuesday — the day after he is now suspected of robbing the same bank on Monday. The suspect entered the bank while reporter Adam Sallet was rehearsing his live report, and then exited the bank seconds before Sallet spoke live for his report on the bank robbery.

After the suspect allegedly robbed the Rochester Sterling State Bank at 5600 U.S. Highway 52 North in Rochester, Minnesota on Tuesday, he was followed by a bank manager, who ran out to pursue the robber. The bank told reporter Adam Sallet on live TV that the man that just ran past him had just robbed the bank.

The suspect presented a note to a teller that demanded money and claimed he was armed, according to Police Capt. John Sherwin. The suspect fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Rochester police followed footprints in the snow that led north to the parking lot of the Comfort Inn at 5708 Bandel Road. Police believed the suspect left in a vehicle parked nearby. The suspect was arrested about 45 minutes later in Coates, Minnesota — about 60 miles northwest of Rochester.

Mason City is about 90 miles southwest of Rochester, Minnesota.
