Dear Paul B,
I know that I am a good friend to all my friends. Most of them return my loyal and open-ended commitment to them. I have two BEST friends and the one is going through a “terrible break-up” with a man. Lois is a very nice lady, but lacks confidence and will go with just about any man that says hello to her. This man is married, and he wants to stay with his wife (after 4 years,) but Lois won’t allow him to break it off without “fighting for her man.” I have told her that it is over, and Max will not leave Lois, but I hear about it hours each day. She will NOT stop talking about it, and I am going crazy. I don’t answer some of her calls, but she “runs into me” at the club, and is now stalking me to talk about this sick relationship. I don’t know what to do, and I am worried about Lois. Can you give me some of your advice, please?
You have to look Lois firmly in the eye, (your choice of eyes,) and tell her to “leave YOU along because you have a life.” It is interrupting with your day-to-day life, and YOU cannot function with this constant badgering. YOU have given LOIS your best advice, which is correct…..LET IT GO—LOIS! Let this man go back where he came from, and learn your lesson. Married guys are a poor date…because THEY ALREADY GOT MARRIED TO SOMEONE ELSE…GET IT? Find a single guy, or join an online dating service. SHE is making you sick, and I am now sick responding to this ridiculous scenario. Lois is amongst the many dumb women who believe that they will steal away a married man. NOT gonna happen!!!! He gets a freebie relationship with all the perks without ANY commitment…These women are hookers who work for nada, and that is it….
