As Baltimore protests escalate, demonstrators are vandalizing police cars and throwing projectiles at police.

Baltimore Police Department has suffered casualties Monday afternoon. At least seven police officers were injured after protesters threw bricks and other objects at them.
One of the officers is unresponsive, and others have broken bones. They have been removed from the area and are receiving medical treatment.

Police say the attack by protesters on police officers in the Mondawmin community was unprovoked. Mondawmin is in northwest Baltimore and is located about 35 miles northeast of Washington DC.

The FBI is reported be monitoring the protest. Maryland State Police were called in to the scene, and it didn’t take long for a news chopper to find a Maryland State Police car on fire.

Baltimore Police Department officials say a group of ‘lawless individuals’ attacked officers in the street. 7 officers reportedly have serious injuries and one is currently unconscious.
