UPDATE: Family members have identified a girl 3-4 year-old girl, according to the Cook County Sheriff’s police. The girl’s name is Aliya, and she is now in the care of a relative after parents came forward to identify the child. The cook County Sheriff and the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) are investigating. DCFS has no prior cases involving the family.
The Cook County Sheriff’s Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a girl found Tuesday about 6:30 p.m. in a forest preserve area in Prospect Heights near Milwaukee Avenue and Palatine Road.

The sheriff’s office says the young female is 3- or 4-years-old and may have the first name of Aaliyah or Allea. She is about 2 and a half feet tall and weighs about 30 pounds. She was found wearing a gray, pink and purple top, blue pants with a purple bow on the front, blue socks, and yellow Crocs shoes.
She also has pierced ears with turquoise colored earrings.
