Sunday’s Blizzard is closing several public venues and has caused the cancellation of thousands of flights.
The Adler Planetarium and Shedd Aquarium will close at 1:00 p.m. The Brookfield Zoo closed all day. The Lincoln Park Zoo will close at 2:00 p.m.
About 1,000 flight have been cancelled at O’Hare, 200 at Midway and 4,615 nationwide in the United States.
As of 11:30 a.m. Sunday local schools near Arlington Heights have NOT announced closings.
