Rolling Meadows High School Sophomore Dies Saturday in Mount Prospect — No Foul Play Suspected

Mount Prospect police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 1:30 p.m. Saturday, December 20, 2014 to a report that a 15-year old male was unconscious and not breathing at an apartment in Mount Prospect. Firefighter/paramedics transported the patient to Northwest Community Hospital with extra paramedics apparently working Advanced Life Support.

The patient, Israel Echeverria, age 15, was pronounced dead at 2:20 p.m. on Saturday at Northwest Community Hospital. Officials said an autopsy was completed, but is pending toxicology test results which take four to six weeks to complete.

Mount Prospect police report that the death of the Rolling Meadows High School sophomore does not appear to be suspicious.
