Remembrance: The 9/11 Generation Sees History on Twitter; Others Never Forget

The four coordinated terrorist attacks (AA Flight 11, UAL Flight 175, AA Flight 77, UAL Flight 93) launched on the United States by the Islamic terrorist group al-Qaeda in New York City and the Washington, D.C., metropolitan area on Tuesday, September 11, 2001. The terror attacks killed almost 3,000 people and caused at least $10 billion in property and infrastructure damage. Today remembrance ceremonies are held in New York City at Ground Zero, at the Pentagon,near Shanksville, Pennsylvania, locations across the United States, and images are shared on Twitter.
