NORAD, the joint American and Canadian air command — investigating the unresponsive aircraft — reports the aircraft is a single engine turboprop and light business and utility aircraft that was flying from Rochester, New York, to Naples, Florida. NORAD confirms there is no communication response from the aircraft.

Fighter jet pilots report that the aircraft’s windows are frosted over. The aircraft has a range of about 1800 miles, which would mean the aircraft would probably fall just south of Cuba.

US fighters jets were reported to be flying around Cuban airspace to re-engage the unresponsive aircraft, but had to return to base because of fuel/range restrictions.

The aircraft is a Socata TBM-700 light business and utility aircraft. Occupants unresponsive to #NORAD attempts to communicate.
