Arlington Heights police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 4:00 AM Saturday to a hit-and-run crash at Golf Road and Arlington Heights Road Arlington Heights, IL. Police and firefigher/paramedics arrived to find on wrecked Chrysler Jeep vehicle in the intersection at Golf Road and Arlington Heights Road.
The driver was shaken up, but refused paramedic transport to the hospital.
A driver’s side rear passenger door fell off at the scene at the crash scene. Police caught up with the offending vehicle on northbound Arlington Heights Road near Sigwalt Street and stopped the vehicle just north of Sigwalt Street.
The minivan was found with severe left side damage and missing the door on the left side.
Police transported the suspected DUI driver of the minivan in custody to Arlington Heights Police Department Headquarters. The driver’s vehicle was towed to a police holding area.
