Power Outage, 2 Injured After Injury Crash at Central Rd and Emerson St, Mount Prospect

Mount Prospect police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 3:47 PM Thursday to a report of a crash involving a utility pole at Central Road and Emerson St Mount Prospect, IL. Police and firefighter/paramedics received a report that people were injured and the a pole was snapped with electrical lines overhead.

Two patients were transported to Northwest Community Hospital.

Prospect Heights responded with a rescue squad. Mount Prospect firefigher/paramedics responded with two rescue ambulances.

Initially restoration was expected about 7:00 p.m., but at about 7:00 p.m. ComEd updated the estimated restoration time to 1:00 a.m. Friday, July 18, 2014.

At the same time, Mount Prospect firefighter/paramedics responded to a report of smoke in an apartment at 1501 Cottonwood Lane at Mount Prospect Place Apartments. The smoke was from burnt food, and no extensive damage occurred.
