#ad▼

The lowest recorded high temperature for June 25 officially in Chicago is 76 degrees set in 1890. We came close yesterday with a high temperature of 77 recorded officially at O’Hare International Airport at 12:51 p.m. and 1:51 p.m. The temperature dropped drastically by 2:51 p.m. to 71 degrees as mostly cloudy conditions rolled in.

Yesterday was the first day that the daylight duration shortens after the summer solstice. Sunrise (5:17 AM) was one minute later than the day before.

We had some rain in the 5:00 p.m. hour, but neither the Chicago O’Hare station nor the Chicago Executive station reported the rain.
