Arlington Heights Ford is partnering with Buffalo Grove High School for a Drive 4UR School fundraiser today from 3:00-8:00 p.m. in the parking lot of the school. This is a unique fundraiser in that community members are invited to test drive any of Ford’s lineup of vehicles (from F-150 to Mustang convertibles) AND, for each test drive, Arlington Heights Ford will donate $20 back to the school (up to $6,000). This is the third time the two have partnered for this exciting event.
Since 2007, Ford has donated over $10 million to schools in local communities – and over $1.2 million to schools across Illinois! In times of uncertainty surrounding school funding, it’s really programs like this that make the difference in the community!
Ford recently celebrated the 2015, 50th Anniversary Mustang by placing a 2015 Ford Mustang on top of the Empire State Building in New York City.
After weeks of preparation, the Ford team finally arrived at the Empire State Building late on the evening of April 14, 2014 with a truckload of parts that would eventually make up a 2015 Mustang convertible. The first night was spent unloading the truck and transferring everything up to the 86th floor in pleasant, early spring conditions.
However, the second night, which was dedicated to assembling the car came with a weather encore of one of the worst winters in decades. Watch as a dedicated crew battles mother nature to build a car 1,000 feet above the streets of Manhattan.
