Doris Rapp, former mayor of the hometown of the suspected Kansas shooter talks about what she knows about Frazier Glenn Cross.
Marionville, Missouri (pop. 2,225) was the hometown of Overland Kansas shooting suspect and anti-semite Frazier Glenn Cross (aka Glenn Miller), where Doris Rapp was mayor when the suspect’s son was killed in a confrontation with police in 2008.
Then Mayor Doris Rapp heard police activity on the police scanner at City Hall and went to the scene where Glenn Miller’s son Jesse Miller sideswiped a vehicle and then shot and killed a Good Samaritan that came to help. Jesse Miller charged toward police with a shotgun, and was shot multiple times and killed by police at the scene.
Doris Rapp never saw Glenn Miller, but he had a notorious reputation and his photo was displayed at City Hall as a precaution in case he arrived at City Hall — a level of preparedness because there was an expectation that he might act out aggressively at some point.
Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) says Frazier Glenn Miller, who also goes by Frazier Glenn Cross, is the former “grand dragon” of the Carolina Knights of the Ku Klux Klan, which he founded and ran in the 1980s.
Mark Potok of the Southern Poverty Law Center says Frazier Glenn Cross has been immersed in the white supremacy most of his life, including starting the Carolina Knights of the Ku Klux Klan.
