Vehicle Burglary, GPS, Briefcase Taken on Whispering Springs Court, Palatine

Palatine police received a report about 2:41 AM Wednesday of a vehicle burglary parked in a private driveway in the block of 1300 Whispering Springs Court Palatine, IL. Police received a report that an unknown offender or offenders smashed a hole in the driver’s window of the victim’s 2009 Cadillac sedan to gain entry to the vehicle. Once inside the offender(s) removed a black Garmin GPS unit (of unknown value) and a brown briefcase (valued at $300) containing miscellaneous documents. The victim reported seeing two unknown subjects running from their vehicle after the car alarm was activated.

The crime is reported to have occurred on Wednesday, February 12, 2014 between 2:30 a.m. and 2:40 a.m.
