Snowy owl changes its flight plan, and expert Norman Smith of the Massachusetts Audubon Society “Mass Audubon” doesn’t know why.

A sudden influx of snowy owls in the Northeast has birdwatchers wondering what’s going on. The bird’s usual habitat is in the Arctic Circle, which is nearly 3,000 miles away. Now that they’ve made their way into heavily populated areas, like Boston’s Logan Airport, experts believe the majestic creatures are in danger. Jim Axelrod reports.
