Illinois State police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 10:25 AM Thursday to a report of crash with injuries at 42.076788,-88.028776 (Route 53 Rolling Meadows, IL). Police and firefighter/paramedics reported that a crash in the southbound lanes of Route 53 south of Euclid Avenue did not involve any injuries.
Schaumburg and Palatine searched for additional crashes, since multiple locations were reported along the route. No other personal injury crashes were found. One additional crash was found. The driver had already called, and was waiting for a tow.
Multiple crashes were reported across Chicagoland, although there was no snow falling this morning. Road treatments are insufficient for reducing slippery conditions because of the extreme cold weather.
