Suspicious Incident, Attempted Residential Burglary on Seegers Road, Arlington Heights

Arlington Heights police responded about 6:54 PM Thursday to a report of an attempted residential burglary in the block of 300 Seegers Road, Arlington Heights, IL. Police received a report that a man was apparently attempting to burglarize a home by defeating the front door lock and entering the home.

The resident reported that it sounded like someone was trying to open the door. When the victim walked up to the door, the door was unlocked. The resident reported to police that he does not leave that door unlocked.

The resident opened the door and saw a man standing at the front porch. The subject asked if a certain person lived there. The resident replied “no” and the subject left.

The subject was described as a male white, medium build, medium height, wearing a gray hooded sweatshit, gray skull cap and blue jeans. He was last seen walking across Seegers Road near the office buildings across the street and the McDonalds.

The crime is reported to have occurred on Thursday, December 19, 2013 at about 6:45 p.m.
