Arlington Heights Weather Forecast: Warmer, Windy Today, Some Rain and High 39 Degree Thursday

Chicagoland weather radar [LIVE RADAR] is all clear at about 6:53 a.m. Wednesday morning. Next chance for precipitation is forecast at 9:00 a.m. Thursday through 5:00 a.m. Friday. Less than 0.25 inch of rain is expected. Some models are predicting heavy snow for Sunday.

Some weather forecasting models are forecasting only 1 inch of snow Sunday, but a European model is forecasting 7 inches or more for Chicagoland, according to Tim McGill, WGN.

Weather forecasting models are ranging from wintry mix to heavy snow for Sunday. Whatever happens, it will wet and sloppy compared to the dry, fluffy snow we have been getting the past few weeks.

Satellite images show much of Illinois is cloudy. Clouds are expected to be mixed today, and gradually increase after noon today with mostly cloudy conditions expected again by noon Thursday.

Strong winds from the southwest 15-28 MPH are expected from 10:00 a.m. to midnight.

The record high for today is 62 degrees (1877).

High 35 degrees expected today from about 3-4 p.m. but wind chill will be about 24 degrees. High 39 degrees forecast for Thursday. The forecast is almost “unseasonably warm” as normal high for today’s date is 34 degrees.
