Tiger Woods Becomes First Known Golfer to Tee Off from Asia to Europe

Bosporus Bridge which connects Europe and Asia in Istanbul was closed for an hour on Tuesday, as golf superstar Tiger Woods teed off from the bridge for the opening of the Turkish Airlines Open 2013 golf tournament. With the stunt, he became the first known golfer to hit balls from Asia to Europe.

Initially the bridge would have been closed for five hours, but after protest, the closure was pared down to an hour.
