Illinois State Police and Palatine firefighter/paramedics responded about 9:34 AM Tuesday to a report of a rollover crash with injuries on southbound Route 53 at Euclid Avenue. Police and firefighter/paramedics received a report that a vehicle crash involved a rollover of a semi-trailer truck. A semi-trailer truck filled with garbage rolled over in the center lane of southbound Route 53 just south of the southbound entrance ramp from eastbound Euclid Avenue, and slid on its side into Lane 1 near the center concrete barrier. A car collided withe the truck in Lane 1 of southbound Route 53.
TRAFFIC LANES EXPECTED TO BE BLOCKED FOR EXTENDED TIME PERIOD.
Southbound Route 53 was still blocked at 12: 02 PM Tuesday. The expressway was opened sometime before 1:05 p.m.
