Chicagoland area radar [LIVE RADAR] is clear at 8:10 a.m. Satellite images show northern Illinois is clear with scattered clouds in central Illinois and southern Illinois. Clouds in Wisconsin, Minnesota, the Dakotas and Iowa are associated with a Low Pressure system over South Dakota.

Unseasonable warmth for the day will peak from about 2:00 pm. through 4:30 p.m. today. Light ESE winds will bring another beautiful day. Next chance for precipitation is Saturday about 8:00 a.m., but precipitation isn’t likely until later in the day.

Cirrus clouds moving in the area tonight might help prevent night heat escape, and keep us in the 50s instead of falling into the 40s.
