Temperatures at about 7:50 p.m. are still in the 80s and low 90s across Chicagoland. In Wisconsin, temperatures in the 80s are observed at 7:50 p.m. up to about 30 miles south of Green Bay. It’s 86°F in the city of Fon du Lac, Wisconsin.
A record of 99°F was recorded as late as September 29, 1953. The latest record 90-degree temperature was recorded on October 6, 1963 when the high temperature was 94°F. No 90s have been recorded after that for the Fall season.
The first record high in the 90s in the calendar year occurred on April 10, 1930 when the temperature reached 90°F.
