Chicago area weather radar [LIVE RADAR] shows very thin bands of precipitation with signs of diminishing as precipitation is about to enter Arlington Heights. Precipitation is likely to be less than half-inch expected. Infrared satellite images show that the trailing edge of clouds associated with the approaching cold front is already at the Mississippi River.
