Mistaken: Backyard Shed Burglary NOT a Burglary on West Braeside Dr, Arlington Heights

It was determined the items were accidentally removed by a contractor who thought the shed was on the property he was hired to rehab. The items were returned to the owner.

Arlington Heights police had received a report about 5:54 PM Sunday of a residential burglary in the block of 600 West Braeside Drive Arlington Heights, IL. Police received a report that an unknown offender or offenders burglarized a backyard shed.

Residents returned home to find that the unlocked sliding door to the shed was partially open. Items reported missing were one black massage table still in box (valued at $150), a red Honda snowblower (valued at $650), and two blue canopies/tarps valued at $600 total, and one blue, gray and yellow Trek bicycle child carrier.

The crime is reported to have occurred between Tuesday August 13, 2013 at 4:00 pm and Friday, August 16, 2013 at 6:30 p.m.
